How to repair the high pressure lines applied in the diesel fuel injection

Follow

Usually engine Manufacturers require to replace high pressure pipes each time they are removed, but reality may be different: sometimes the brand new pipe not available or it results too expensive.

Such situations are real opportunities for the art of Repair.

If the cone has been damaged and the connection is leaking, consider to reform the nipple by the press 9376-D.

Furthermore, the easy bending is allowed by the jig 9111.

Forming the nipples of conventional and common rail pipes

9376-DK1 is the complete set for forming nipples on diam 8, diam 6 (conventional and common rail applications)

In any case, the equipment configuration is customizable through by the following part numbers:

9376-D is the forming press (essential piece of equipment). 9376-D is included in 9376-DK1

9376-DP6 is the set to implement the forming of nipples on the diam 6 mm high pressure pipes - conventional applications.  9376-DP6 is included in 9376-DK1

9376-DP6CR is the set to implement the forming of nipples on the diam 6 mm high pressure pipes - common rail applications. 9376-DP6CR is included in 9376-DK1

9376-DP8 is the set to implement the forming of nipples on the diam 8 mm high pressure pipes - common rail applications. 9376-DP8 is included in 9376-DK1

Technical notes

The shape of the stamped nipple (1) is suitable not only for simple applications (nut only - ref 3), but also where a reinforcement collar (2) is applied (either it is conical or flat).

Applying the required pressure, the lenght of the stamped cone is complete, to perfectly suite the ISO 2974 standard for the 60° female cones for high-pressure fuel injection components.

Only this case allows no leakage on the conjunction.
